You can use the chat facility at anytime, but there may not be anyone there all the time ( do check to see).

You need to register for the chatroom using the link below, even if you're already registered for the forums. You have to give a valid email address. You will receive two emails as part of the registration process. You will be given a random password, but you can change this once you have logged in.

Simple instructions to register for the chatroom.

1. Click on the register link, enter the name that you want to use for chatting, then your real name, then your email address, then click on Register me.
2.You will then receive your first email..
3. Clinck on the link on the email, then click to activate on the webpage that opens.
4. You will then receive the second email.
4. This email will contain your password, copy and paste this, and make a note of it.
5. Go back to the first email, click on the link again and login. Click on Login to change settings.
Enter your username, and the password.
6.You should now be logged into the system, change the password to something you will remember easily.
7. From there you can click on the button to access the chatroom or

Once you have registered just enter your username in the box above and you will automatically be asked for your password as the chatroom opens.

Once you are in the chatroom, you will see a window like this

 Change the colour of your text

 Send sounds

 Set your "status" - busy, be right back etc
float
 "Float" the chatroom - that means open it in a larger window
help
 Get help on using the chatroom
logout
 Click here to leave the chatroom

You can change other settings using the menus at the top of the chatroom - you can change the background colour of the room, change the font size, select an avatar etc.
